Sitting beside you,
Watching you fade into a peaceful state,
Where nothing hurts you,
Where you dream sweet,
Lovely dreams.
I smile, looking over you,
Lightly touching your soft skin.
Kissing you ever so softly,
Whispering things of my heart
Into your ear,
You stir, then sleep,
And I smile and say good night,
And lay beside you in my slumber,
